Day 1 - 2016

Hola! We made it! Our group landed in Tegucigalpa around 11:30 local time. We were blessed with smooth travel, on time flights, and the arrival of all baggage. 

After a joyous reunion with Carlos, Marla and family, and the Honduran workers from the clinic that we have grown to love so much, we went straight to the Hotel to check in and drop off our luggage. 

We made a quick stop at Wendy's for lunch on the way to the clinic.

Then the real work began. We sorted and bagged food for 300+ food bags. Each bag contains staples that should feed an average family for a week. This year, we were also able to bring down enough Spanish New Testaments to include one in each food bag. 

Tomorrow we will head to Cantarranas for the first medical / dental clinic and to begin construction on the first house. Hasta mañana.
