Day 3 - 2016

Day 3 started like most do during our week in Honduras. Breakfast at the Hotel, followed by a quick stop at the clinic to pick up supplies, and a stop at the convenience store for water and snacks before heading back to Cantarranas. The plan was for the construction team to finish the first house while the medical team held their second clinic nearby. This is a picture of the "house" that the family is currently living in:

All we lacked finishing on their new house was a window, door, and concrete.

I know I have said it before on this blog, but it is amazing to watch the Honduran workers mix the concrete by hand.
Here is a picture of the proud new homeowners:
And one with the construction crew:
After finishing the house, the construction crew went back into town to kill time while we waited for the medical team to finish their clinic. I think they saw 71 patients so they had a good day as well.
Cantarranas is a really pretty, really neat, old town - exactly what I picture when I think of a small town in Honduras.
After the medical team finished, we met back at the church building. We distributed approx 50 food bags to the locals after Carlos delivered a short message.
