Day 6 - 2016

Wow, this week has flown by! It is hard to believe it is already day 6. This has been another long day, but a very good day. We started our day at the clinic loading food bags and sewing machines to take with us to Villa de San Francisco.
Villa de San Francisco and Cantarranas are nothing over the mountain from Valle de Angeles.  It is an absolutely beautiful drive!

The construction crew went back to the second house to finish up. We installed both windows, hung the door, and poured the concrete floor all in about half a day.
This is the proud new home owner with her daughter. The way I understand it is that the mayor of the town donated the land so that we would be able to build this house for her. It is such a blessing to be able to have a small part in something like this that will truly change someone's life.
While we were finishing up the house, the medical team was holding a clinic up on the mountain that overlooks the town. I'm sure you can find some of their pictures on Facebook- the view had to be spectacular.
While we were waiting on the medical team to finish, Nahum and I took a walk around Villa de San Francisco. It is a neat little town, very similar to Cantarranas and exactly what you would expect a small town in Honduras to look like.

I even found the local cellphone / computer repair shop.
We ended the night with a quick trip to the grocery store to buy coffee and vanilla. A good day indeed!
